Vacations can be a tough subject now in today’s economy. I know that more and more people just aren’t able to take those world class vacations that they’ve always dreamed of. If you’ve been thinking of a fun place to spend a weekend or a few days (assuming school hasn’t started back for you yet) and you don’t want to break the bank, then consider going to Branson Missouri!!
I vacationed there with my aunt and uncle and their kids one year when I was a teenager! It was the perfect getaway because it wasn’t too long of a drive and Branson Missouri offered so many fun things that I just wasn’t used to seeing so close to home!! I loved the “feel” of Nashville, with all the shopping, theaters, and water parks combined it was by far the best vacation that I can remember as a kid.
Now that I’m grown up with a family of my own…I’m looking on the other end of the spectrum as an adult. The shows and entertainment is enough in itself to want to visit. I’d also love to go back to visit the new museums, check out the lakes and golf courses just for the view, and of course all the fun theme parks!!
If you are or have been planning a trip to Branson, be sure to check out the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing or Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel. The Hilton Promenade you’ll find in the shopping and entertainment district, while the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel is located in the Historic Downtown area! Each Hotel offers great packages and rates! A couple of special packages that caught my eye were the Hilton Bed & Breakfast Package and also the Romance Package…which would be great for a weekend Getaway for two!!
Here’s what a fun day would look like:
- Breakfast in the Hotel
- Take the Kids to a Theme Park or Water Park
- Have a Picnic Lunch by the River
- Take in a show performance from Travis Tritt and Tanya Tucker
- Enjoy a stroll through the Boutique Shops
- Rest and Relax then do it all over again tomorrow!!
If you live close or in the surrounding states of Missouri, I would highly recommend visiting Branson. I’d love to go back and visit again with my husband and son for a fun filled family vacation!
If you’ve stayed in Branson Missouri, I’d love for you to share what the highlights were of your vacation!! What were your favorite shops, restaurants, and shows??
