I know that alot of you that have started buying certain foods in bulk lately to get your stock piles growing!! Have you wondered how long your cheese or other refridgerated foods would last? Or try to hurry and eat those things before they hit the expiration date?? I know that can be frustrating, because I’ve been there myself!
I just read a great post on Facebook from Pillsbury about this very topic. They shared 10 great tips. I wanted to share some highlights with you so that you can better understand how to freeze some of your foods properly!! Here are a few:
1. Use airtight containers to freeze foods that can go straight from the freezer to the microwave or the oven.
2. Make sure your foods have cooled before freezing them.
3. Wait to add crisp topping such as nuts or bacon to dishes after they have thawed out.
4. Cook pastas, meats, and veggies just until tender because they’ll cook more during the re-heating process.
