I love fall and Halloween decor and while I do put out things that are more for the kids, I love to add a little spooky elegance like my DIY Halloween Wreath! I found all the stuff to make this wreath at my local dollar store and it was quick and easy to put together. I get so many compliments on it from kids and grown ups alike.
We enjoy having Halloween parties and there’s nothing more awesome than a fun wreath to meet and greet guests with at the door. This one is so easy to make.
DIY Halloween Wreath
Supplies:
- 1 grapevine wreath or other wreath form (wire or foam will work just fine)
- 2-3 black feather boas
- hot glue
- orange ribbon
- black ribbon
- hot glue and glue gun
Instructions: Heat the hot glue gun and begin gluing the feather boas to the wreath. You will want the feathers to be thick and full so you’ll probably use all 3 of the boas. You’ll use quite a bit of glue to keep them in place. You could also use a fine floral wire to attach the boas if you prefer. After the feathers are attached, wrap the orange ribbon around the wreath and boas several times. This is where the bow will be placed. It could be at the bottom of the wreath or off to one side. I chose to put it off to the side. Tie the ribbon tightly on the backside to secure it in place. To make the bow for the front side of the wreath, fold the orange and black ribbon back and forth several times before tying a bow around it. This will create a bow with many layers of ribbon. Hot glue the bow to the orange ribbon you wrapped around the wreath. Fluff the feathers and your wreath is ready to hang! This wreath is great for the front door or to display on your wall in any room of your home! It’s the perfect addition to your fall or Halloween decor and a fun conversation piece at your Halloween parties!
