I’m a candle hound! I have found over the last couple of years that the battery operated candles have turned more popular because of the obvious reasons – less chance of a house fire, less chance of spilled wax, and less chance of getting burnt! These reasons didn’t even include the cost savings! Batteries are costly, but still the savings is huge when you compare how long the batteries last vs. how many hours of time you get in real wax candles. You also don’t have to worry about getting those ugly black smoke spots on your ceilings!
My favorite battery operated candles are the pillar candles. They look fabulous on a fireplace mantle, right?! I’ve recently been introduced to the battery operated vigil candles. These are so cool! I love to use candles similar to these in my windows during the holidays…there’s something about driving by a house with lights in all the windows at night time that I love! It always gives me that comfy cozy feeling.
These candles are also great for church events or even something like Relay for Life events! The price for these are very reasonable – at only $1.59 each for the 6″ candles, however, the more you buy the bigger the discount! If you have a special event coming up or just even like the look of the old fashioned candles in your windows then these are a great idea!
