Most of us struggle with some sort of pain throughout the day. If you’re on your feet all day – more than likely you have achy feet and/or lower back or body pain…right?! It’s usually caused by the shock of our feet hitting the ground, which can travel up our legs with each step we take!

Sad thing is, if our feet aren’t supported properly – this can cause our bodies a lot of stress and strain! No matter what our age, we should be wearing something to give us some support! This is where Dr. Scholl’s® comes in!

Watermelon Cupcakes #BiteIntoSummer

Nothing says summer like a big juicy watermelon! And cupcakes. So…how about we just combine the two and make watermelon cupcakes?! Betty Crocker now has the all-new Watermelon Cake & Frosting – available only at Target! Nothing fancy…just follow the directions on the cake mix. The mix even has tiny chocolate chips in it…to resemble watermelon seeds! How cute is that?!

I made them this past weekend, and let me tell you…if you love watermelon flavor, then these are for you!! I made this batch and they were a big hit with my little man. He just thought they were the best things ever. I topped them with jelly beans, just for some extra fun since we had some on hand!

The cupcake mix is really yummy. The next time I make these, I plan to add a tub of whipped topping to the frosting just to lighten it up a bit. The frosting has MEGA watermelon flavor, so if you really love watermelon..you’ll enjoy it! I do love watermelon, but I’m not one for very sweet frostings so adding the whipped topping would make it perfect for me.

On your next trip to Target, make sure to grab a mix and some frosting to try it out for yourself! It’ll be perfect for your summer parties! You can find a coupon for $0.50 off any 2 Betty Crocker Cake and Frosting plus some other awesome General Mills deals and savings!

Are you a Super Mom?! Tackle that Back to School Shopping List and Save with White Cloud

July 23, 2013 by Jenni 493 Comments

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of White Cloud. All opinions are 100% mine.

I can’t believe it. Back to School season is in and I feel like we just went on vacation! Sending kids back to school gets really expensive, especially if you have more than 1 child in school. Do you get overwhelmed when you start thinking about shopping? So, with the help of White Cloud, we can tell those never-ending and daunting back to school lists to surrender to Super Moms everywhere!

Did you know that the National Retail Federation’s statistics show that parents spent almost $700 on back to school shopping last year? Talk about a dent in the wallet!

Here are just a few recommendations that I have for shopping back to school. First off, set a budget and STICK to it! Get what you have to have first and then let the rest of your budget cover the things that are “wants” vs. “needs”. As far as supplies go, you can find lots of deals in retail stores like Walmart. Also consider shopping online at discount supply stores. Bulk packages of supplies can be used throughout the year. Bigger out of pocket up front, but savings prevail in the end!

For saving on clothes, shoes and accessories – I always look for deals online, especially if I can get free shipping! Walmart has lots of great clothes online and instore. Plus…when shopping online you get GREAT shipping rates. For supplies and clothes, shop year round. Just whenever you find a great deal – snatch it up and don’t wait until you have to pay full price later when you actually need the item!

Most schools hand out a list of supplies/items needed to bring in. Most often, facial tissue is on the list and that’s a good thing. Fall and beginning of school season brings lots of buggies around so they’re great to have on hand, even in the classroom! Bet you didn’t know – you can support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals just by purchasing the limited edition White Cloud CMN Facial Tissue boxes!! I love when purchases like that benefit an awesome organization!

White Cloud products are sold exclusively at Walmart. Check the White Cloud Store Locator  to see if it’s sold in your area. You can find 3 or 6 boxes in one package which is perfect if you have multiple kids going back to school! They’re super duper soft and soothing on those dry noses…they’re the epitome of Pure Comfort™. Before you go to grab your package of White Cloud Tissues, visit the White Cloud Facial Tissue page to get a $0.75 off coupon!! You’ll also find the coupon in the July 28th newspaper FSI and the following magazines!

Learn Some Coupon Cuttin’ Mad Skills

May 18, 2010 by Jenni 687 Comments

Alright Ladies {and maybe a few gentlemen}.  If you are new to cutting coupons or if you’ve cut them out for years you may not know this little tidbit of info.  First off, how many Sunday papers do you buy?  How long does it take you to cut them out??  Well, not long after I started couponing I found this cool technique called “collating”.  Some call it “de-collating”.

I thought that most of you would be happy to learn this technique as well because I’m tellin’ you…it cuts ALOT of time out on Sunday’s or Monday’s when it comes time to cut coupons!  If you buy more than 1 Sunday paper then you need to watch the following video below made by Coupon Crusaders:  Grab a cup of coffee…there’s a lot of info to take in here!

A couple of things that I’d like to mention about what I do differently than in this video:

  • First of all, this lady uses the “insert filing system”.  What that means is that she doesn’t cut her coupons out until she’s made her shopping list and is ready to go shopping.  She keeps all of her inserts filed in a box and then uses a database to find the coupons she needs and then she pulls from the inserts that she needs at that time.  Personally, I found that technique didn’t work for me.  I like to take all of my coupons that are in my coupon box to the stores with me.  If I have to drive very far to the store and I walked in with only the coupons that were on my list…I am telling you now, that I’ve missed out on alot of “unadvertised” or clearanced deals that way because my coupons were still at home.  So, that is why I like to cut out all of my coupons and file them in my coupon box.  That way they are cut and ready to use at any given “clearance” moment!!

  • Secondly, I’d like to mention that she staples her pages 1 time.  She does that because she files the whole inserts.  What I like to do is staple each section where there’s a coupon.  On one “like bunch” of pages there might be 7 or 8 staples.  I make sure to avoid the barcodes though because when you go to use a coupon, you don’t want to accidentally tear up the barcode or it may not scan correctly at checkout.  So, basically when you put a staple at each coupon, when you go to cut them out they’re already neatly stapled and ready to go.  You don’t have to cut them all out and THEN staple them 🙂

  • Another thing I want to mention is that when you start to cut your coupons (especially if you have 4 or more) stapled together, make sure to give yourself enough room.  Sometimes the coupon in the back of the stapled bunch slides as you are cutting and you can accidentally cut through a barcode or expiration date…eeeek!  I’ve done it before so I started paying closer attention!

  • One last thing.  She talks about how sometimes when your pages are stuck together, you have to tear them in half.  Every once in awhile you’ll get one where the coupon is actually in the very middle of the crease.  So if you tear the page in half, you’ll rip that particular coupon in half.  When I run across these, I’ll just set it to the side and cut those individually.

I really hope that this video and some of the different tips that I gave above will help you in saving not only money but time.  Sometimes cutting coupons can get to being a burden if you’re cutting one piddly coupon out at a time.  I know, I’ve done it before.  But now, it’s so much faster and a whole lot easier!!  You can check out my coupon organizing technique here!  Just give it a try next time around and let me know what you think.

If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to ask!!  I’d love to help you out!

Blessings~
