Did You Know You Can Save Up to $2700 Per Year on Food With FoodSaver?

Save Money on Food with FoodSaver

Learn How FoodSaver Can Help You Save Money on Food!

How many times do you pull frozen meat out of your freezer and say, “Yuck! That looks gross, I don’t even want to cook that!”? That happens to me all the time. I’ll buy pounds of fresh meat, bring it home and put in freezer bags to freeze then a month later, pull it out and it doesn’t even look good.

My husband gets so mad at me because if it even LOOKS suspicious, I’ll pitch it and not even think twice about it. Even if that package of meat cost us $10. That is NOT a good way to help my family save money on food. That’s one reason I was really excited when FoodSaver contacted me to do a review of their products. The day it arrived in the mail, I had just bought a package of ground beef so I was ready to try it out.

The FoodSaver came with the rolls to use in the machine. It’s one large roll of heavy plastic, and once you cut it…you’ll seal it on both ends in the FoodSaver machine. The FoodSaver will pull all of the air out of the bag so your meats, produce, and other foods are vacuum sealed for freshness.

So, we opened the box up and tried this bad boy out! I took photos while Dale (the hubs) was figuring things out. I was surprised at how easy it is to use. You literally just cut the roll to fit the size of whatever you’re sealing. You’ll want to cut it about 3 inches longer though to give yourself some room. Before you vacuum seal the food, you’ll seal one end of the bag first. Then add your meat or produce. Then you’ll seal the other end.

It’s really cool to watch it as it works. You can see the bag drawing up as the FoodSaver pulls the air out of the bag. It literally takes just seconds to seal up a bag. Easy peasy! Just think of how much money you’ll save using FoodSaver!! They say that they can actually save you up to $2700 per year! Now that’s how you save money on food!! It’s perfect for keeping meats, produce, even leftovers nice and fresh. Frozen, YES! But still fresh. No worries about freezer burnt foods now!

Usually, after a freezer bag of ground beef has been in my freezer for a week…it’s already starting to look dried out and gross. This package of ground beef has been in my freezer for over a week and it still looks nice and pink!!! Like the day I bought it!

I have the FoodSaver V2244 System and it’s priced at around $80 here on Amazon with FREE shipping plus it comes with a roll of plastic to get you started! You can see there that it has tons of great reviews! I highly recommend it as a way to help your family save on your food budget! It does cost up front, but the savings in the end is really worth it!

You can use this widget below and Calculate what your savings could be! Leave a comment letting us know what YOUR savings would be. We’d love to hear!

Just click the Calculator button on the left side below in the box. I did and I answered 3 simple questions. Based on those answers, it tells me I can save up to $450 a year with FoodSaver. IF I start buying meats and produce in bulk (which always saves more money) then I could save as much as $1950 a year! That is a HUGE amount of savings!!! How much are your savings?
