Meal prepping is something that I love to do, but I honestly never always take the time to actually DO it. So, I’m one of the “lazy” meal preppers. How ’bout you?
I’d love to say that I spend hours in the kitchen on the weekend, prepping and chopping away. But nope. That’s not the case. Especially in the summer.

I wanted to share a few Salad Prep tips for the lazy meal prepper! Since I’m the lazy meal prepper…I’m kind of a pro at this, haha!!!
Salad Prep Tips:
1 – Instantly wash your produce when you bring your groceries inside. This is huge for me. Why? Because if I don’t do it right away…I tend to let the produce spoil because later on, I don’t want to take the time to wash it.
2 – Chop up your veggies really quickly after you’ve washed them. This will save you SO much time later on when you’re ready to cook or prepare your salad. PLUS, you’ll be more apt to actually EAT your salads if your veggies are cut and ready to go!
3 – Use Rubbermaid containers like – Rubbermaid BRILLIANCE to store your salad ingredients in! This is the perfect set because of the size of each container. They stack SO nicely in the fridge and save a lot of space. I love the latches on these and that they’re super airtight too so they won’t leak!
They’re crystal clear, which I love, because they look like glass! They’re also stain resistant! They’ll always look new. I just hate it when you put something like spaghetti sauce in a plastic container, and then it stains orange! Don’t you?! Bleck!
One other reason that I love the Rubbermaid BRILLIANCE is because they’re splatter-resistant in the microwave! You can microwave anything in them, with the latches open and lid on! Makes keeping the microwave nice and clean!!

Wash, cut up and freeze your veggies till you are ready to cook with them. You have less prep time and clean up.
I wash and cut veggies and store them ahead of prep time.
Wash and slice veggies right when you bring them home from the store! That way they are easily accessible.
My best meal prep tip is to have everything for your recipe all out on the table and easy to get to so you do not have to dig in the cabinets looking for stuff. It really saves time to have everything organized for a recipe.
I prep my Grandkids fruit & veggies for school lunches…the night before. Saves me so much time on rushed mornings.
My best tip is to chop up enough veggies for several meals ahead of time.
I plan meals one week ahead. I cut up veggies that I will be using and store in containers in the refrigerator.
To make meal prep easy during the week, I cut up everything (veggies, fruit, etc) on Sunday so it’s quick and easy during the week. Also, if anything needs marinating, I’ll get that started on Sunday. I also package the kids lunch snacks for the week on sunday.
Prepping vegetables ahead of time is a big time-saver.
I like to get my prep work dont the night before.
I try to prep some of dinner in the morning before I head to work so there is so much less to do when I get home.
My best meal prep tip…is to cut up what you need ahead of time if you can. Sometimes I will double a recipe and freeze one for dinner another night when we are so busy.
Plan ahead and get your meal prep done for the week.
My tip is to get all the ingredients out and ready before cooking. Countless times have I started cooking only to realize I don’t have a particular ingredient.
These look and sound awesome. SO perfect for being in school while working full time as well. My biggest tip is to wash, cut, and prep everything first so when you cook everything you can just pop it in your containers and go!
I wash, cut and prep my weekly lunch and dinner veggies on Sundays.
i like to cut up what i need and finish cutting the rest for later in the week and put them in bags for the week

My best tip is to slice and dice the night before and use a crock pot its a miracle worker .
For me, it’s kind of strange. I need to have (very) clean containers or dishes to put the food in.
Make sure you have all ingredients before you get started
When we are making a casserole or stirfry we’ll often prep 2 and throw the contents of one in the freezer for those game days or late nights when we are running around with the kids!

best tip:
Cut up onion and peppers. Have them on hand in the freezer for quick additions to your meals.
I use proper food storage containers to re-heat meals and eat from them and glass containers that allow portion-sizes for my meals.
I keep my pantry and freezer stocked with quick and easy go-to items like frozen fruits and vegetables and salmon, plus pantry oatmeal, beans and salsa.
I try to cook foods all at once; roasting vegetables, sweet potatoes, and even chicken breasts all at once to save time.
I invest in food storage containers of various sizes to suit my needs, and I choose one container type and buy several that stack and store.
I keep snacks simple and save time by choosing snacks that don’t require a lot of time to put together like fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, and pre-cut vegetables.
I look for shortcuts with pre-cut vegetables and fruits, cooked lentils, or rotisserie chicken, and tuna is an an easy no-cook protein to add to salads
