Our Family Vacation to Myrtle Beach 2010

I had told you guys last week that I was taking some time off but what I didn’t tell you was that I was heading to the ocean!!!  My family went with my extended family to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to enjoy some time away!  We had the BEST TIME EVER…all 12 of us!

I had seen the ocean once before, but my husband and son had not!  So, they got a week’s worth of fun in the sun!  We stayed in a very nice and luxurious condo called Ocean Blue!  I HIGHLY recommend that condominium and the room we stayed in was room 502!  You can actually view the room we stayed in online HERE! It had 4 bedrooms and even the second master bedroom (which was our room) had a balcony out to the ocean front!  Ahhhhh…..SWEET!

Dale, (my husband) and my 4 year old got up super early every morning and watched the sun rise over the ocean.  I tried…but I just didn’t have it in me…ugh.  I did get up the very last morning and watched it and it was beautiful!  You would think that October would not be an ideal month to vacation at the ocean but actually the days were warm, bright, and sunny and the nights were cool and crisp!

 

We took lots of pictures and I have posted some of them here for you to see!  Eli didn’t care much for the sand but he LOVED the water!  I can’t wait to go back again and shop at Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing.  My sister actually got her picture taken with LuLu Buffett which is Jimmy Buffetts sister.  She was at the Margaritaville restaurant doing a Cook-Book signing!  We also LOVED the Jeff Foxworthy Store!  We had our picture taken with a bear…tee hee hee!

We found alot of cool shells on the beach, my sister sharpened her skills as a shark tooth hunter, and we even got to watch a wedding on the beach…that was very cool. 

I can’t wait to go back to the ocean because coming out of that kind of weather back into the cold and rainy Indiana weather made us all kinda shell shocked!
